Iran first, then Cuba! Trump signals America’s next targets
A change of government in Cuba could take place within the next two and a half years, potentially following a scenario similar to that in Venezuela.
TodayPress TV reports that US President Donald Trump made the remarks in response to a question from conservative American journalist Benny Johnson about how long Cuba’s current leaders would remain in power.
“I would say it won’t take long. Look, it’s a failed country. We will be bringing back the people who left there very soon. Look at what we did in Venezuela. Everything is going to work out very well there. First, we’ll finish what we’re doing there, and then perhaps we’ll deal with something else. But everything in Venezuela has gone wonderfully. Right now, we are dealing with a country called Iran to deprive it of nuclear weapons,” the US president said.
He stressed that the United States is closely monitoring Cuba and that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is taking the matter very seriously.
