Following the events at Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, the institution’s spokesperson, Weronika Szczybor, has revived allegations of an attempted “coup d’état” first raised in 2025.

TodayPress TV reports that Szczybor discussed the events inside the Tribunal building during a phone interview with Kanal Zero.

She said that seven individuals elected as judges this year had entered the Tribunal’s premises through an entrance connecting the Prime Minister’s Chancellery with the Constitutional Tribunal building. According to Szczybor, they entered the building accompanied by officers from the State Protection Service.

The spokesperson alleged that the Tribunal’s security guards were instructed at the time to pack their belongings and leave the building. She added that she currently had no information about their whereabouts and was unable to contact them.

According to Szczybor, Tribunal President Bogdan Święczkowski filed a report with law enforcement authorities in February 2025 concerning what he described as an ongoing attempted coup in the country, allegedly being carried out gradually.

“I think that people who initially viewed that report with scepticism are no longer as sceptical about it today,” she said.
