Coup allegations in Poland: President’s motorcade rushes to the Presidential Palace – Video

Polish President Karol Nawrocki has returned to Warsaw. His plane landed at the capital’s Chopin Airport.

TodayPress TV reports that the presidential motorcade headed from the airport towards the Presidential Palace.

According to TV Republika, Nawrocki is expected to hold an emergency meeting at the Presidential Palace with Constitutional Tribunal President Bogdan Święczkowski and First President of the Supreme Court Zbigniew Kapiński.

Kapiński had earlier strongly criticised the events surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal, describing what happened that night as “undoubtedly a coup d’état”.

As previously reported, the Polish president cut short his visit to Senegal and returned urgently to Warsaw amid the political and legal tensions in the country.
