“Sabah” head coach could move to Fenerbahçe

Valdas Dambrauskas could become the new head coach of Istanbul-based Fenerbahçe.

According to TodayPress TV, citing information obtained by TuttoMercatoWeb, intensive negotiations are underway between the Turkish club and the Lithuanian coach, who currently manages Azerbaijan’s Sabah FC. The parties are continuing active discussions in an effort to reach an agreement.

The 49-year-old coach is expected to leave Sabah, move to Türkiye and take charge of Fenerbahçe.

A three-year contract running until 2029 is currently under discussion. Reports indicate that negotiations are close to completion and an agreement could be reached soon.

If no agreement is reached, Dutchman Dirk Kuyt, who is currently serving as Fenerbahçe’s interim head coach, is considered the main alternative.
