Öcalan released from prison – Sensational claim
Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the PKK terrorist organisation, has reportedly just been appointed as a member of a commission (the Subcommittee on Disarmament and Strategic Coordination). According to the claim, his conviction ceased to have effect as soon as he became a member of the commission.
TodayPress TV reports that the statement was made by Ümit Özdağ, leader of Türkiye’s Victory Party (Zafer Party).
The politician claimed that, under current Turkish legislation, a convicted person cannot serve as a member of a commission.
“Abdullah Öcalan is no longer a convicted person. Since he is no longer a convict, he is no longer in prison and will live in a mansion built for him. The mansion is also equipped with the necessary facilities for him to work. He will live in this villa with his assistants and the person he plans to marry in the future. His meetings will take place there. He will direct his political activities from there.
“Yes, Öcalan has been released. How do they intend to explain this to society and make people accept it? Of course, demands are being made by A. Öcalan that are so extraordinary that even when I hear them, I say: ‘Surely, it cannot be that much’,” Özdağ said.
