Neuer: “We were completely dominant from the first minute!”

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has commented on his team’s victory over Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League league phase.

TodayPress TV reports that the Munich side defeated Atletico 2-0 away from home.

Neuer said his team had been in control of the game from the opening minutes:

“I think we were completely dominant from the first minute. Whatever Atletico tried to do against us, we always had an answer. We played as a united team, gave everything on the pitch and really enjoyed playing together as a collective. We were simply incredible!

“Atletico are only two points behind Barcelona in the domestic league. So I guess not everyone expected today’s match to unfold this way. It feels great to put in a performance like this.”
