Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has spoken about his admiration for Spanish football.

TodayPress TV reports, citing AS, that the England international answered questions about whether he had spoken to Barcelona and Real Madrid forwards Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé at the awards ceremony, as well as whether he would like to play in La Liga.

Asked, “Did you speak to Mbappé or Yamal? Would you like to play in Spain?”, Kane replied:

“No, that evening was very hectic. The ceremony went on for a long time, and after my speech everyone just wanted to get home as quickly as possible.

“Spanish football has played a major role in my life. When I was a child, I used to watch Spain’s national team. They had won the World Cup and the European Championship. I have great respect for that team.

“Watching Barcelona and Real Madrid during the Messi-Ronaldo era meant witnessing football at its very highest level. But I never had the opportunity to play there. I spent many years at Tottenham and was happy there. When the chance to move to Bayern Munich came along, I decided to take it.

“Of course, playing in La Liga and testing myself against players like that would be fantastic. But everyone has their own path in their career.”
