İran shoots down a large US drone – BREAKING

İranian air defence forces have shot down a US heavy unmanned aerial vehicle over Kish Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

TodayPress TV  reports that the information was released by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite branch of Iran’s armed forces.

“A reconnaissance-strike unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the US armed forces was intercepted and destroyed over Kish Island by the air defence system of the IRGC Aerospace Force”,- the statement said.

According to the IRGC, over the past several nights, the United States has intensified its reconnaissance activities in an attempt to identify the locations of Iranian air defence systems. The Corps also claims that Washington’s activities in the Strait of Hormuz are aimed at lowering global oil prices. According to the IRGC statement, its naval forces continue to maintain control over the strait.
