Pashinyan reveals his next goal regarding Azerbaijan: What comes next?
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia is creating new opportunities for the South Caucasus.
TodayPress TV reports that, according to Pashinyan, the Washington agreements on the peaceful resolution of the conflict between Baku and Yerevan have now entered a practical phase. He stressed the importance of strengthening these agreements through institutional mechanisms in the next stage.
Speaking about regional cooperation, Pashinyan said he views the South Caucasus as a single region. In his view, despite certain differences between the countries, shared interests could provide a basis for developing a common strategy.
The prime minister noted that Armenia’s cooperation with Georgia was at a high level, while bilateral trade relations with Azerbaijan had already been established. He also said that the implementation of the TRIPP project would expand infrastructure and transport links across the region.
According to Pashinyan, securing peace between Baku and Yerevan, implementing the TRIPP project and strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, particularly in logistics, could help address disruptions in global supply chains.
He added that these developments could enable the South Caucasus to gain an entirely new standing on the international stage.
