Five countries unite against Russia
European countries are seeking to prevent Russia from participating in the 2027 Ice Hockey World Championship.
TodayPress TV reports, citing “Bloomberg”, that an initiative led by Finland has brought the issue of excluding the Russian national team from international competitions onto the agenda.
The matter is being discussed at a meeting of the leadership of the International Ice Hockey Federation on November 3.
Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Latvia had previously announced that they would refuse to play against the Russian national team at the 2027 World Championship.
