Under Trump, America’s “eyes” and “ears” have been split apart

Information sharing among US intelligence agencies has weakened during Donald Trump’s presidency.

TodayPress TV reports, citing “Reuters”, that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has stopped preparing joint analytical reports with the National Intelligence Council. The submission of intelligence reports to Congress was also temporarily suspended following military operations in Iran and Venezuela.

According to officials, tensions between different intelligence agencies, staff reductions and concerns over political pressure have weakened interagency coordination.

The situation is reportedly increasing the risk that policymakers may receive incomplete information about global threats.
