Will the US launch a nuclear strike on Iran under pressure from “Bibi”? – “In the coming days…”

US President Donald Trump’s administration could launch a nuclear strike on Iran in the coming days under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

TodayPress TV reports that the claim was made by American journalist Tucker Carlson.

“The target of the strike would be Mount Pickaxe in central Iran. According to Israeli intelligence, the Iranian government has resumed its uranium enrichment programme there. No conventional weapon in the US arsenal is capable of penetrating 90 metres of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is allegedly taking place,” he said.

According to Carlson, a nuclear strike is the only military option, and Netanyahu is insisting that it be carried out.

“An informed observer says that ‘Bibi calls Trump every day about this’. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. Given the results of last week’s elections, he will be unable to form a government unless Trump directly intervenes in Israeli politics and brokers an agreement with other parties that would secure Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he will be removed as prime minister and face disgrace, investigations and even imprisonment.

“Netanyahu needs Trump to remain in office. He needs this war. To that end, he has put maximum pressure on his closest allies in the administration, including Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and US Central Command Commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated resolution to the conflict. Both argue that large-scale military operations must resume.”

The American journalist claims that a nuclear strike would dramatically accelerate the destruction. He alleges that radioactive fallout from an attack on Mount Pickaxe would contaminate the Persian Gulf and poison water supplies used by 100 million people. According to him, these would be only some of the immediate consequences for the region.
