China calls for a new security architecture for Gulf countries

The Chinese government has called on countries in the Persian Gulf to establish a new regional security architecture.

TodayPress TV reports that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remarks during a meeting with Musaid bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State and National Security Adviser.

“China believes that all countries in the region should deepen mutual understanding, rebuild mutual trust, improve relations, live in peace and harmony, and contribute through consultations to establishing a new regional security architecture that serves the long-term interests of the peoples of the region” ,the Chinese Foreign Ministry quoted him as saying.
