US urgently evacuates diplomats from the Middle East
The United States has begun urgently withdrawing some staff members and their family members from its diplomatic missions in Middle Eastern countries.
According to TodayPress TV, CNN reported the development, citing sources.
According to the outlet, the move was prompted by US intelligence reports indicating increased activity by Iran. Intelligence assessments suggest that Iran has reached an “advanced stage” of preparations for possible attacks.
CNN noted that US diplomats have complained about the chaotic organization of the evacuation and a lack of financial support. According to the diplomats, despite having returned to their duty stations relatively recently, they are now being forced to look for accommodation again.
