Russia is ready to increase supplies of energy resources to Europe.

TodayPress TV reports that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak made the statement.

Novak said the global market was facing a diesel fuel shortage of approximately 25%.

According to him, Russia supports closer cooperation among countries in the global energy market. He emphasised that Russia had previously been a reliable energy supplier to Western Europe and remains a dependable supplier to global markets, including those in Asia.

Novak described an agreement on diesel fuel supplies from Russia to the United States as a pragmatic decision that benefits all market participants. He claimed that the European Union’s criticism of the deal runs counter to its own interests and harms consumers.

The Russian deputy prime minister added that Russia plans to increase its diesel fuel exports to 3.5 million tonnes by the end of the year.
