Not a single cent from the budget! Babiš voices opposition
The Czech Republic does not intend to guarantee the loan that the European Union plans to allocate to Ukraine.
TodayPress TV reports, citing TASS, that Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš made the statement before the start of a European Council meeting.
Babiš criticised the allocation of €100 billion for Ukraine in the European Union’s budget.
“I don’t like the allocation of €100 billion for Ukraine in the European budget. This money should have been provided in the form of a loan,” the Czech prime minister said.
It should be recalled that in October, Babiš said the European Union should direct its funds towards Ukraine’s reconstruction rather than prolonging the conflict in the country.
