Polish foreign minister warns Putin is overestimating his strength
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has criticised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s participation in high-level international talks.
According to TodayPress TV, Sikorski said that allowing Putin to restore his international standing strengthens his position on Ukraine without requiring him to make any concessions.
The minister stressed that pressure should be exerted on the aggressor, not the victim of aggression, to bring the war to an end.
Sikorski noted that Putin’s acceptance on the international stage reinforces the Russian leader’s belief that he is more powerful than he actually is.
The Polish foreign minister also said Europe retains leverage over peace negotiations. According to him, this includes military and financial assistance to Ukraine, as well as frozen Russian assets.
