Iran has reportedly ordered its military to fully activate its “Mosaic Defence” doctrine as part of preparations for a potential joint attack by the United States and Israel.

According to TodayPress TV, local commanders have reportedly received lists of targets covering US economic and political facilities across the region in the event of a possible war.

The “Mosaic Defence” doctrine is designed to enable Iran to continue military operations even if its central leadership is incapacitated.

Under the system, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has 31 provincial commands, each reportedly enjoying extensive operational autonomy. These commands have their own weapons and logistical capabilities, as well as decision-making authority. This could allow local commanders to launch missile and drone attacks even if communications with the central leadership are severed.

The reported preparations come amid rising military tensions across the region.
