Details have emerged about the final exchange of messages between the United States and Iran before the war.

According to TodayPress TV, reports claim that over the past 24 hours, messages from US President Donald Trump to Iran were delivered through Russia, Pakistan and Qatar.

According to the reports, the United States made the release of $6 billion in frozen Iranian assets conditional on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Washington also reportedly offered to lift its naval blockade of Iran in exchange for the handover of uranium enriched to 60%.

The United States is also said to have asked Tehran to pressure Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement into agreeing to a ceasefire with Saudi Arabia in exchange for ending the war with Iran. At the same time, Trump reportedly said he could not guarantee that Israel would halt its attacks on Iran and Lebanon.

The reports say Iran responded firmly to the proposals. Tehran stated that the conflict between Yemen and Saudi Arabia was not its responsibility and that Ansar Allah made its own decisions independently.

Iran reportedly made the fulfilment of seven demands it had put forward for reopening the Strait of Hormuz another condition. Tehran also declared that it would not agree to end the war unless Israel halted its attacks on Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Regarding its nuclear programme, Iran reportedly refused to transfer enriched uranium abroad, instead proposing to reduce its enrichment level to 20% domestically. In return, Tehran demanded the lifting of all sanctions, the release of $100 billion in frozen assets and $300 billion in war reparations.

The reports also refer to Iran’s warning about a possible renewed conflict. According to the claims, Tehran said that if hostilities resumed, it would use long-range missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to launch large-scale strikes against US and allied interests. Iran reportedly warned that such attacks could trigger the collapse of the dollar-based monetary system in the global economy.
