US and Israeli military forces have drawn up detailed plans for a potential new military operation against Iran following the US midterm elections scheduled for November 3.

TodayPress TV reports, citing Anadolu Agency, that The New York Times (NYT) published the information, citing US officials and sources familiar with the discussions.

According to the report, a planned intensive campaign lasting approximately three days could target Iran’s nuclear facilities, energy infrastructure, and arsenal of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). US and Israeli forces are also reportedly stepping up military exercises as part of preparations for a possible operation.

According to the publication, some US officials believe large-scale strikes could inflict serious damage on Iran’s economy, potentially compelling Tehran to make concessions in diplomatic negotiations.

However, there is no indication that US President Donald Trump has approved the proposed attack plan. The White House has declined to comment on potential military plans, stating that all options remain under consideration to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Iran, meanwhile, has rejected the notion that any new attack would be short-lived. Officials in Tehran have warned that retaliatory strikes could be broader in scope, while also raising the possibility of actions targeting digital infrastructure, including data centers and undersea internet cables.

Reports of US and Israeli preparations for a possible military operation have renewed concerns over a potential escalation of tensions in the region. However, no final decision to launch an attack has been confirmed.
