US reportedly plans to strike Iran shortly after this date
The United States and Israel are reportedly planning a short, intensive military operation against Iran after the November 3 midterm elections.
According to TodayPress TV, the potential strikes are expected to target Iran’s nuclear facilities, energy infrastructure, and missile and drone capabilities.
The US Navy’s third aircraft carrier, the USS Theodore Roosevelt, is also reportedly heading towards the region. Its arrival would bring the number of US aircraft carriers in the region to three, expanding Washington’s military operational capabilities.
The reports suggest that Washington has concluded that reaching an agreement with Iran through negotiations is not feasible and is considering regime change as a possible way forward.
It should be emphasised that reports of US and Israeli strikes beginning after November 3 have not been officially confirmed. It remains unclear whether diplomatic contacts with Tehran will continue or whether Washington will make a decision to launch military action.
