Peskov warns Lithuania: “Its territory will become a target for Russian nuclear weapons”
If Lithuania decides to deploy nuclear weapons on its territory aimed against Russia, the country will become a target for Russian nuclear weapons.
TodayPress TV reports that Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov made the statement on Channel One.
Peskov noted that such a move by Lithuania would lead to a very serious escalation and a significant increase in tensions.
“If nuclear weapons aimed against us are deployed on the territory, naturally, the territory of that country will also become a target for our nuclear weapons,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
