Armenia must apologize to the Azerbaijani people, presidential aide says

“There are certain events that we cannot erase from history.”

According to TodayPress TV, Azerbaijani Presidential Assistant and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev made the remarks during a special session titled “The language of peace and combating disinformation,” held as part of the Baku Culture and Media Dialogue Platform.

“But we have no intention of seeking revenge. Steps still need to be taken and initiatives put forward to achieve lasting peace. Armenia must apologize to the Azerbaijani people. Armenian society must apologize to the Azerbaijanis who were unable to return to their native lands for 30 years,” the presidential aide said.
