Azerbaijan ready to bring peace agreement process to a conclusion, Bayramov says

Armenia has indicated different dates for the signing of the peace agreement.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made the remarks during a press briefing in Baku on Monday alongside his Dutch counterpart, Tom Berendsen, TodayPress TV reports.

Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan carefully follows Armenia’s statements and positions on the matter and takes note of them.

“I would like to reiterate that Azerbaijan’s position on this issue is firm and clear. Over the past year, Azerbaijan has taken a number of unilateral steps, which Armenia and everyone else have had the opportunity to observe. Certain processes are underway within Armenia, and amending the Constitution is also in the interests of the Armenian authorities for specific reasons.

“To conclude, I would like to emphasise once again that Azerbaijan is always ready and committed to bringing the peace agreement process to a conclusion,” Bayramov said.
