Moscow and Ankara agree: “3+3” gets moving in the South Caucasus

Representatives of the Russian and Turkish foreign ministries have exchanged views on the situation in the South Caucasus and Ukraine.

TodayPress TV reports that the consultations were attended by Mehmet Samsar, Head of the General Directorate for Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus on the Turkish side, and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized that outside initiatives in Central Asia and the South Caucasus are unacceptable.

The sides expressed their interest in continuing the activities of the “3+3” Regional Cooperation Platform in terms of strengthening stability and security based on the principle of regional responsibility.

In addition to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, the platform includes Russia, Iran and Türkiye.
