“There is no progress, but contacts continue” – Cuba comments on talks with US

The Cuban authorities intend to continue contacts with the US government despite the lack of any progress in the talks.

TodayPress TV reports that Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla made the statement.

“We have held talks and continue communicating with the US. However, there has been no progress in the negotiations due to the lack of political will on the part of the US,” he stressed.

The minister added that Cuba is ready for such talks based on the principles of mutual respect and non-interference in the affairs of the Caribbean republic.

At the same time, Rodríguez Parrilla noted that there is no specific agenda for the talks.
