TodayPress TV reports that an Israeli official made the statement to Channel 12.
The official emphasized that the shipping channel near Perim Island is approximately 3 kilometers wide. According to him, ships will pass within visual range of Houthi positions, allowing the group to target tankers even with simple anti-tank missiles.
The Israeli official described this as a factor that gives the Houthis “very significant power.”
