French President Emmanuel Macron has said that video games have become one of the major forms of creativity of the modern era.

TodayPress TV reports, citing foreign media, that Macron noted that video games represent a major creative field formed at the intersection of visual arts, literature, music, design and technology.

“I am convinced that video games are part of our culture and therefore should become part of France’s cultural exception policy, just as cinema and other creative fields are,” the French president said.

According to him, an international video game festival will be established in France for this purpose. The festival is planned to become a major global event bringing together creativity, innovation, gamers and industry representatives.
