A phone call between the presidents of Türkiye and Azerbaijan is making an important contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

According to TodayPress TV, political analyst Mahammad Asadullazadeh made the remarks.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and invited him to attend the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which will be held in Ankara.

The political analyst emphasised that Azerbaijan and Türkiye are brotherly countries, but there are forces seeking to create a crisis between the two states.

“Thanks to the joint policies of the leaders of both countries, the Organization of Turkic States is developing. Centres of power that do not want to see the organisation advance will continue trying to create crises. A new political order is taking shape in the South Caucasus and Central Asia as a result of cooperation between the two countries,” he said.

According to the analyst, Azerbaijan shares borders with Russia and Iran, two countries that have consistently posed threats to its independence and security. For this reason, a strong Türkiye and the preservation of close fraternal ties are of strategic importance to Azerbaijan.
