Discussions on ending the Russia–Ukraine war will continue in the format of trilateral technical-level talks.
TodayPress TV reports that US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, announced this in a post on X.
Witkoff said he had met Russian President Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg to build on the progress made in Oslo with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and discuss a framework for a peaceful settlement.
Trump’s special envoy described the discussions as “constructive.”
“These discussions were constructive and will continue in the format of trilateral technical-level talks between the United States, Russia and Ukraine,” he wrote.
Witkoff added that Trump remained committed to ending the war and achieving comprehensive and lasting peace.
