Pakistan to join operation against Houthis? Emergency delegation arrives in Türkiye

A delegation from the Pakistan Armed Forces has arrived in Türkiye as discussions continue over a possible military operation against the Houthis in Yemen.

TodayPress TV reports, citing The Times of India, that military action against the Houthis is on the agenda within the framework of the “Mecca Defence Alliance” established by Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.

According to the report, the main objective of a possible operation could be to drive the Houthis out of Yemen’s northern Saada province. However, no final decision has been made on the matter.

It should be noted that under the defence agreement signed between Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia within the framework of the Mecca Alliance, an attack on one member is considered an attack on all members.

The issue has become particularly pressing after the Houthis intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia in recent days, with reports saying that 73 people were injured in attacks carried out on September 8.
