London-Tel Aviv ties breaking down? – “It is time to end military cooperation”

Jeremy Corbyn, currently an independent MP and former leader of the UK Labour Party, has said that the time has come for Britain to end its military cooperation with Israel amid Israel’s ongoing attacks on Palestine.

TodayPress TV reports that he made the remarks in an interview with Al Jazeera.

“Yesterday, I called on the British government to end Israel’s use of the country’s military facilities, as well as to halt production by Elbit Systems in Britain and the supply of components for F-35 fighter jets manufactured in the country,” he said.

Corbyn stressed that he supports an end to the war and the establishment of peace for the Palestinian people.

“We must defend international law. The UN must play a more active role both in supporting the need to deliver aid to the West Bank and Gaza and in ensuring the need to end the occupation,” he said.
