Alpine driver Pierre Gasly has shared his impressions of the new “Madring” circuit, which will host the Spanish Grand Prix in Formula 1 for the first time.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the social media account of SoyMotor, that the experienced driver said the new circuit is as dangerous and unforgiving of mistakes as the Monaco street circuit:

“I’ll bet there will be red flags during the race. In the simulator, I think I crashed into every wall on the track. It’s like Monaco: if you make a small mistake, the consequences can be very severe.”

It should be noted that the circuit in Madrid consists of 22 corners and is 5.4 kilometres long. Its main feature will be the 550-metre-long Turn 12, known as “Monumental”, which has a 24-degree banking and takes approximately six seconds to complete.
