New NBA record-holder: Boozer surpasses LeBron James!
Memphis Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer, 19, has become the youngest forward in NBA history to record a triple-double.
According to TodayPress TV, the American basketball player achieved the milestone in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2026/2027 NBA regular season. Boozer was 19 years and 104 days old when the game ended in a 124-103 victory for Memphis.
He recorded his first career triple-double in just his fifth professional NBA game, scoring 18 points in the contest.
Previously, the record for the youngest forward to achieve a triple-double belonged to LeBron James. On January 19, 2005, he recorded 27 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists at the age of 20 years and 20 days, as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated Portland 107-101.
It should be noted that Cameron Boozer was selected third overall by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2026 NBA Draft. Before that, he played for Duke University.
