Hikmat Hajiyev: Azerbaijan is rewriting its own story
Azerbaijan has transformed the South Caucasus from a “battleground” for major powers into a space for cooperation benefiting all sides.
TodayPress TV reports that Presidential Assistant and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev made the remarks in a post on his X account.
Referring to his meeting in Baku with American professor Jeffrey Sachs, Hajiyev said that after spending 34 of the 35 years since gaining independence in a state of war, Azerbaijan had established a green corridor from the Caspian Sea to Europe and was now rewriting its own story.
Hajiyev also shared his views on peace with Armenia, the Caspian Sea’s 800-gigawatt offshore wind energy potential and COP29.
The post also noted that Jeffrey Sachs presented the Pope’s encyclical letter on peace and artificial intelligence.
