Peace with Azerbaijan should last 400 years, says Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stressed the importance of ensuring that peace with Azerbaijan is sustainable and strengthened at the institutional level.
According to TodayPress TV, citing Armenian media, Pashinyan said that his main goal as head of government was to achieve long-term and irreversible peace.
He noted that signing and ratifying a peace agreement with Azerbaijan was of great importance. Against the backdrop of global developments, the prime minister highlighted the need to preserve peace for many years to come.
According to Pashinyan, the current international situation shows that the world order is being shaken. He described achieving peace under these circumstances as a positive development and stressed the importance of safeguarding this achievement for future generations.
“When we see what is happening in the world, we realise that the world order is, in fact, falling apart. Fortunately, we have managed to achieve peace during this period. However, our task is to turn two years of peace into 20 years, one year into 200 years, and 200 years into 400 years and beyond,” the Armenian prime minister said.
