Khachaturyan’s statement on war casualties proved incorrect: Official figure released
Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, speaking in Prague, gave a figure for his country’s losses in the 44-day war that differed sharply from the official numbers.
TodayPress TV reports that the President’s Office apologised for the error and stated that the official number of Armenians killed in the war is 3,755. It should be noted that the Armenian authorities had previously announced that 3,833 people were killed in the 44-day war, while around 160 people remained missing.
