Restrictions affecting Starlink’s Starshield military communications system in Ukraine have reportedly been lifted.

TodayPress TV reports, citing sources in the Defence Ministry quoted by RBC-Ukraine, that the system resumed operations on October 15.

According to the sources, reports from military units confirm that communications have been restored. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defence Ministry continues to engage with the relevant parties to investigate the reasons for and circumstances surrounding the restrictions imposed the previous day.

Serhiy Sternenko, a former adviser to Ukraine’s defence minister, had earlier reported problems with Starlink terminals in the country during the night of October 13–14. According to him, communications began to fail when equipment was moving at speeds exceeding 160 kilometres per hour, disrupting several important operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to CNN, citing a source in the Ukrainian military, the restrictions affected aviation, logistics, communications and intelligence operations in frontline areas.
