José Mourinho, head coach of Real Madrid, has strongly criticised the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) over the four-match suspension imposed on forward Vinícius Júnior.

TodayPress TV reports, citing Madrid Xtra’s post on the social media platform X, that the Portuguese manager was angered by the timing of the announcement, which came shortly before a match.

“Do you think it is normal for a player from a Spanish club to receive a four-match suspension one hour before a game? Is that normal? Couldn’t they have done it after the Champions League match against Roma, or early in the morning? Did he really have to find out about it on the bus? They are dishonest. They are no longer even hiding it. They tried to destroy the player psychologically one hour before the match. Why? This is a Spanish team. Why are they trying to harm it?” Mourinho said.

It should be recalled that the Brazilian footballer received a red card for pulling the hair of Villarreal player Natan-Dylan Saliba during the eighth round of La Liga, in a match that ended 1–0.
