Armenia forced us into war - Ilham Aliyev
“War was not our choice. Armenia forced us into war. Its supporters apparently did not believe that Azerbaijan would restore its sovereignty and uphold international law by force.”
TodayPress TV reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks during his address at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Emphasising that all of them had been mistaken, the head of state added: “Apparently, they did not know the character of our proud, freedom-loving people, who live by their traditions and moral values.”
