Russia, US and Ukraine could return to the negotiating table, Witkoff says
US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff has said there is a basis for achieving a ceasefire in Ukraine.
TodayPress TV reports that Witkoff made the remarks during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Witkoff, talks with Ukrainian and European representatives in Oslo were constructive and resulted in progress.
The envoy said he hoped trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States and Ukraine would resume.
He added that he hoped Putin would also consider the possibility.
