Passenger trains to operate on TRIPP route, Mirzoyan says

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said that passenger services will operate on the railway line passing through Armenia as part of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).

TodayPress TV reports, citing Armenian media, that Mirzoyan made the remarks while presenting the issue of ratifying the framework agreement on the TRIPP project to the Armenian parliament’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.

According to Mirzoyan, the railway line will also have designated train stops.

The minister said TRIPP would be economically beneficial to both sides and would have a positive impact on consolidating peace. He stressed that both Azerbaijan and Armenia have interests in the project, adding that cooperation would bring mutual benefits.
