Absurd fixture congestion: Sarri protests players’ injuries

“Atalanta” head coach Maurizio Sarri has issued a strong statement about the problem of an excessively congested football match schedule.

TodayPress TV reports that journalist Nicolo Schira shared the statement on his X account.

“Players are being subjected to an illogical and absurd schedule. Numerous muscle injuries were recorded this week. A complaint needs to be filed with UEFA and FIFA. What surprises me is that the Italian Footballers’ Association is saying nothing and remaining silent…” Sarri said.

It should be noted that after six rounds of Italy’s Serie A, Atalanta have collected nine points and sit 10th in the standings.
