Developed during the conflict and sent to the battlefield – General speaks about Iran’s new air defense systems

Iran’s Armed Forces developed new air defense systems during recent military confrontations and deployed them for use on the battlefield.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the Mehr news agency, that Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force, made the remarks.

According to the general, the Iranian Army developed and produced new defensive systems within a short period during the conflict and immediately deployed them to the battlefield. He claimed that the systems were successfully used against enemy aircraft.

Elhami added that the opposing side’s possession of advanced technologies had not enabled its aircraft to evade Iran’s air defense network.

The commander also announced that Iran is self-sufficient in the production and supply of air defense weapons. According to him, military scientists, defense industries, universities and technology companies are involved in developing the new systems.

The general attributed the foundation of Iran’s military strength to decisive leadership, public support and domestic weapons production.
