As the results of the US midterm elections are drawing attention over their potential impact on Washington’s foreign policy, a strong message has come from Tehran.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the Clash Report account on X, that Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has said the results of the US midterm elections will not change Washington’s hostile attitude towards Iran. He warned that if the United States takes further aggressive action, it will face an even broader response.

Commenting on the elections, Khamenei said those who hope that a change in the ruling party in the United States will influence the country’s behaviour, or that concessions will persuade Washington to abandon its hostile stance, are seriously mistaken.

He added that events in the Gulf, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, had shattered the myth of America’s invincibility and exposed the weakness of governments that rely on foreign powers rather than their own people.
