Iran threatens to bomb Kyiv
Iran has threatened to strike three major Ukrainian cities in response to possible new US attacks.
TodayPress TV reports that a statement broadcast on Iran’s state television channel IRINN said Tehran could launch large-scale strikes on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, as well as Lviv and Odesa, if the United States begins a new military operation against Iran.
The fact that the threat specifically named these three cities has drawn attention. If such a scenario were to materialise, Ukraine’s civilian population could become a direct target in the US-Iran confrontation.
However, it remains unclear whether the statement reflects the Iranian government’s official position or is political rhetoric aired on state television.
