Iran adopts new warfare tactics in the Strait of Hormuz: What awaits ships?
Iran is using all the means at its disposal to prevent oil shipments from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
TodayPress TV reports, citing “The Wall Street Journal”, that Tehran has shifted to guerrilla warfare tactics.
According to the publication, Iran is attacking ships with underwater kamikaze drones, deploying magnetic mines and using small boats equipped with grenade launchers.
Through these measures, Iran is seeking to disrupt oil shipments and increase pressure on the administration of US President Donald Trump amid a deadlock in negotiations.
According to the WSJ, more than 35 attacks on ships were recorded in the Strait of Hormuz in October.
