Explosive-laden drones have targeted Iranian Kurdish opposition groups in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the “Monte Cristo” account on X, that two drones targeted areas east of Sulaymaniyah and Erbil on November 4.

But how safe is it to cross the border and seek refuge in a neighbouring country?

What is happening?

Iranian Kurdish groups established bases in Iraq after fleeing Iran. Tehran accuses them of carrying out cross-border attacks.

Iran has previously launched strikes against these groups.

For Baghdad, the incident is a test of its ability to keep Iraqi territory out of another country’s conflict.
