Is Trump planning to oust the Pentagon chief? Confidential discussions leaked

US President Donald Trump is discussing the possible resignation of Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth with his aides.

TodayPress TV reports that “CBS News” disclosed this information, citing sources.

According to the report, following the Republican Party’s defeat in the midterm congressional elections, Trump has been seeking advice from his advisers on whether Hegseth should remain in office.

However, the broadcaster’s sources say Trump has not yet made a final decision on a possible replacement for the Pentagon chief. “CBS” notes that Democrats had sought to secure Hegseth’s removal even before the elections, and these efforts could intensify if they gain control of both chambers of Congress.
