War of words among drivers: Russell complains about tight schedules

Mercedes driver George Russell has responded to comments by four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull regarding the involvement of drivers in the design of race tracks.

TodayPress TV reports, citing RacingNews365, that Russell stressed that implementing Verstappen’s proposal would be difficult in practice:

“Yes, but we’re all quite selfish; no one wants to spend time on it. We have a busy schedule, there are many constraints… And if you look carefully at the track configuration, you realize that it’s actually not that possible to change anything.”

It should be recalled that Verstappen previously strongly criticized the Madring circuit and said that drivers should definitely be involved in the design process.
